Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to farrier app (the “App”), provided by Simon Fleet (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Who may use the App

You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your country to use the App. The App is not intended for children.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information where the App asks for it.
• You may delete your account in the App or by contacting us at simongabrielfleet@gmail.com.

4. Your content and data

The App lets you store information such as client details (names, addresses, postcodes), locations, notes, and photos. You retain ownership of content you upload to the App (“User Content”).

• You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and process your User Content solely to operate and provide the App.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and use any personal data you enter into the App (e.g., your clients’ details).
• You should only upload content you have permission to use and that is lawful.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes others’ rights.
• Upload malware, attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse engineer the App (except to the extent permitted by law).
• Access the App or our systems using automated means in a way that imposes unreasonable load.
• Use the App to store or share illegal, harmful, or abusive material.

6. Subscriptions and payments (if offered)

If the App offers paid subscriptions, purchases are processed by the Apple App Store (iOS) and/or Google Play (Android), not by us directly.

• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Manage / cancel: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID/Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple/Google in accordance with their policies.

Note: Subscription prices, billing periods, and available plans will be shown in the App at the time of purchase.

7. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services to function. For example:

• Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage for photos and app data)
• Google Maps Platform (mapping, geocoding, distance and routing features)
• Apple App Store / Google Play (payments/subscriptions if offered)

These providers may have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

8. Availability and changes

• We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time.
• We may release updates that you must install to continue using the App.
• During beta/testing, features may be incomplete or change frequently.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we aim for accuracy, route calculations, distances, and schedules may be incorrect due to data entry errors, third-party services, or other factors. You are responsible for verifying information and using professional judgment.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of profits, business, goodwill, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you breach these Terms or if necessary for security or legal reasons. You may stop using the App at any time. If you delete your account, we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your country require that disputes be brought in another jurisdiction.
